A semi-aquatic race famous for their brightly colored skin, the Siikri often inabit areas close to large bodies of water, though capable of surviving in dry climates as long as they keep themselves hydrated. Their life spans are similar to that of a human’s, with an average of 80 years.

Their hair-like appendages which grow from the top of their heads allow them to feel electric impulses and vibrations in the water. Though they are also capable of sensing such information in the air, they do not function as well as they do under water.

Many of this race dislike wearing shoes as their large webbed feet do not fit comfortably in such apparel. Gills are almost never covered by any type of clothing for the fear of suffocation.

Juvinile Siikri are strictly aquatic unlike their adult counterparts. Their feet are not shaped to walk, and exhibit a tail that aids greatly in swimming. As they grow older, the tail becomes shorter and shorter until it is eventually completely gone.

Design Notes
Markings and coloration can be based off of tropical fish and other aquatic creatures of bright coloration.
Pupils run sideways in an oval shape - sclera tends to the a hue of the iris’s colour.
Overweight Siikri are rare as they consume a lot of energy to stay on land, together with the physical exercise that swimming provides.}

With their tails shrinking when they get older; they remind me of frogs when they start changing in their life cycles.
